Whitney's extension problem and its variants

The talk will answer the following questions: Let f : E −-> R, with E a subset of Rⁿ. How can one tell whether f extends to a C^m function F on all of Rⁿ? If F exists, how small can we make its C^m norm? Can F be made to depend linearly on f?
