Congratulations to the UC Berkeley Putnam Competition Team of Indraneel Kasmalkar, Shiyu Li and Qingyun Wu for their Honorable Mention finish in the 2013 William Lowell Putnam Mathematical Competition. (The UC Berkeley team finished in 6th place out of 430 teams.) Indraneel Kasmalkar also earned Honorable Mention honors in the individual competition. Other UC Berkeley students finishing in the top 200 (out of 4113 competitors): Justin Ahmann, Benjamin Breen, Weiqiao Han, Shiyu Li, Patrick Lutz, Henry Maltby, Logan Stokols, Qingyun Wu, and Albert Zhang. UC Berkeley had more students place in the top 200 than any other public school in the United States or Canada.
