This is the website for discussion sections 313 and 315 of Ole Hald's Math 1A class.

313 meets from 3:40-5:00 at 045 Evans
315 meets from 5:10-6:30 at 061 Evans

Short version: homework is due at the start of each section. If you can't make it to section, turn in your homework at my office (739 Evans) or by email.
Homework isn't graded for correctness, so it's your responsibility as a student to check your answers.

Common errors

I recently found this list of common errors. Of the mistakes listed there, here are some of the more common mistakes I've been noticing on homeworks and exams. More common ones are near the top:

Stream of consciousness notations
Working backwards and the related overlooking irreversibility
Invisible parentheses
Everything is additive
Confusing statements with their converses
Loss of differentials
Algebra errors like undistributed cancellations and sign errors
