Syllabus: This will be an introduction to algebraic geometry in the language of schemes.

3. Schemes (FOAG, Chapter 4).
4. Properties of schemes (FOAG, Chapter 5).
5. Morphisms of schemes (FOAG, Chapter 6 and some of Chapters 7-9).
6. Varieties (FOAG, Chapter 10).
7. Dimension, smoothness (FOAG, some of Chapters 11-12).

Evaluation: There will be a weekly quiz but no exams.
