Past Teaching

Below is a summary of classes I have previously taught along with any links to material I used and posted. If you are a student, please feel free to use the material presented but note that it comes with two conditions: (1) not all solutions are necessarily correct, and (2) the content of your current course may be slightly different than the content of these previous courses listed. Below is a selection of comments from anonymous student reviews I have recieved. These comments have been selected because they specifically address components of my teaching style.

"Lectures are well–organized and evenly distributed. Even it is a summer course, I would not feel so overwhelmed. Besdies, the GSI is very nice and responds quickly toward piazza and emails." Linear algebra student, 2021.

"Meredith was extremely organized and clear in presenting lecture material. She had the most amazing ability of disseminating often–times confusing material from the textbook in her videos and making the material understandable. Her use of examples, proving theorems, and asking students to practice simple exercises on our own was extremely effective. She was clear in her writing, maintained a positive attitude that encouraged student to do do well, and was extremely helpful during discussion section. Exams and homework were fair and covered a wide range of material that showcased what we learned this summer." Linear algebra student, 2020.

"The instructor's strengths included but were not limited to preparation and organization of lectures as well as providing many examples to expose a wide range of applications for topics. Both board work and in–class lectures were well rounded. The worksheets at the end of lecture were especially useful. The instructor was also very helpful during office hours." Calculus student, 2019.

"Meredith always comes prepared for her class. She has a printout of her notes available so she can stay on track, but she's not afraid to deviate from her plans in order to answer our questions, demonstrate an idea, or deepen our understandings of the topic at hand. She's also flexible, and adjusted her office hours several times to make sure that people who wanted to attend could attend. Thankfully, she also adjusts her office hours before exams. Meredith clearly knows her subject and is always willing to answer questions. She is very approachable." Calculus student, 2017.
