Yelena Mandelshtam

I recently graduated with my PhD in mathematics from UC Berkeley. My advisor was Bernd Sturmfels. My dissertation, titled "Algebraic curves, Grassmannians, and integrable systems," can be found here.

In July-August 2024 I will be a President's Postdoctoral Fellow at UCLA. After that, I will be a member at the Institue for Advanced Study during the 2024-2025 academic year. In Fall 2025 I will move to the University of Michigan as an NSF postdoc and Parekh Research Assistant Professor.

I am grateful for the support of an NSF Graduate Research Fellowship and a department fellowship funded by the Straus Graduate Student Support Fund during my PhD.
