Singularities are one of the most basic yet fascinating aspects of nonlinear PDEs. In this course, we will study the dynamic formation of singularities for nonlinear evolutionary PDEs that arise from physics and/or geometry. Particular emphasis will be given to the recent developments in the rigorous construction of such solutions in various settings.
