Born September 6, 1940, in Dover, Ohio. B.S. and M.S. (electrical engineering), Massachusetts Institute of Technology, 1962; Ph.D. 1964. Founder and President, Cyclotomics, Inc. (became Kodak Berkeley Research), 1983-89.
