Prerequisites:
Some analysis and partial differential equations background.

Textbook:
Peter Hintz, Introduction to microlocal analysis.

Recommended Reading:
Thibault Lefeuvre, Microlocal Analysis in Hyperbolic Dynamics and Geometry.

Syllabus:
Pseudodifferential operators, propagation estimates, radial estimates; applications to dynamical systems: meromorphic continuation of Ruelle zeta functions and some cases of Fried's conjecture (no background in hyperbolic dynamics will be needed); Fourier integral operators and Maslov indices; applications to mathematical general relativity.
