In fall 2024 we will be organizing a reading seminar at UC Berkeley on the book Tensors: Geometry and Applications by J.M. Landsberg. We will be focusing on the first two parts of the book learning about tensors, representation theory and their connection. By the end of the semester we hopefully have time to look at applications, for example tensor networks and algebraic statistics.
The seminar is organized by Svala Sverrisdóttir, she can be reached by email at svala@math.berkeley.edu and in her office in 869 Evans Hall.
Location and time: 939 Evans hall at 11am-12pm Tuesdays.
