The table that follows lists the grades for 24 students. The sheet is ordered by the last two digits of students' IDs. You see the four numerical scores (HW plus three exams) and the composite score, which is the sum of the four numbers after they have been rescaled to run from 0 to 25, 0 to 15, 0 to 15, and 0 to 45, respectively. The fictional student Gauss got full credit on all homework assignments and examinations. Students with P/NP or S/F options had their grades converted (to P or S) when grades were filed.
