This is the course webpage for Math 53, Lecture 2, Summer 2011 at UC Berkeley, taught by James McIvor. Please carefully read the syllabus for the course. It contains all the important information, including test dates, grading scheme, etc.
HW is collected every Tuesday and Friday, and the HW problems listed on the schedule are those due on the given day. My course notes should be read as a supplement to the text. The readings should be done before each lecture. Be aware that the first midterm occurs after the deadline to drop the course. You will have to use the quizzes and HW to assess your performance. I can give you advice if you are unsure.
