Professor Christ grew up in Wisconsin, graduated from Harvey Mudd College and the University of Chicago, and served on the faculties of Princeton University and UCLA before settling in Berkeley. His research has Fourier analysis at its core and encompasses partial differential equations, complex analysis in several variables, and topics in mathematical physics. Much of his work is publicly available through Google Scholar and the preprint archive front.math.ucdavis.edu. Mike is the proud dad of two college students and one happy dog. In days gone by, he enjoyed running, cycling, and hiking.
