Announcements:

• (11/8) I will not have office hours on Thursday 11/9. I will have some extra office hours next week, TBA.
• (10/23) My office hours for this week and next will be Thursday 10/26 from 9am-noon, and Tuesday 10/31 from 9am-noon.
• (9/28) Solutions to the first midterm, as well as the score distribution and curve, are now posted on piazza.
• My office hours next week only will be on Tuesday (Sep 26) from 9am-12pm, in 923 Evans.
• Edgar Rodriguez's office hours next week only are rescheduled to Monday (Sep 25) from 1-3pm, in 779 Evans.
• My office hours on 9/14 will be from 10:30-12:30, instead of the usual 1:00-3:30.

Textbook: Linear algebra and differential equations, second custom edition for UC Berkeley. This consists of selected chapters from the two books Linear algebra and its applications, fourth edition by David C. Lay, and Fundamentals of differential equations, eighth edition by R. Kent Nagle, Edward B. Saff and Arthur David Snider. It is fine to use the latter two books instead of the custom edition.
