Welcome to my homepage!
I am a fourth-year Ph.D. student in the Department of Mathematics at UC Berkeley. I am being advised by Professor Javad Lavaei. My current research interests are nonconvex optimization, especially low-rank matrix optimization and optimization via simulation. I received my bachelor's degrees in Applied Mathematics and Computer Science at Peking University. I finished my undergraduate thesis under Professor Zaiwen Wen's advice. I have also worked in Professor Pingwen Zhangs’ and Wotao Yin's groups. My research is partially supported by the Two Sigma Ph.D. Fellowship.
I am from Hangzhou, a scenic city in southeastern China. Outside of math, I am a day hiker and a Marathon runner. My PRs are 20:40 (Great Highway 5K), 42:28 (10K, Alameda 10-miler), 69:40 (10 miles, Alameda 10-miler), 1:42:00 (half marathon, unofficial), 3:41:38 (Napa Valley Marathon).
