About Me

I am an NSF Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of California, Berkeley working with Dan-Virgil Voiculescu. I received my Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a minor in Physics and am originally from Arlington Heights, IL. I recieved my Ph.D in Mathematics from the University of California, Los Angeles in June of 2015 under the direction of Dimitri Shlyakhtenko. I am interested in Operator Algebras and Free Probability usually in the context of Type III von Neumann algebras.

My non-mathematical interests include painting, drawing, board games, guitar, bicycling, my dog Kramer, and (of course) my wife Cheryl whom I married on July 19th, 2013.
