Dear Math 98 Students: 

I hope you have been making progress with the course. A few reminders: 

Office Hours: I highly encourage you to make an appointment with me if you are having issues or questions. I am happy to meet with you as often as you need provided you come prepared. It will take time for you to get used to this new style of "thinking" and I can usually put you on the right track if you are struggling.

Deadlines: I am not going to enforce any of the deadlines, except for the final project. This is an optional class so I have no way to incentivize you (no carrot and no stick), but do try to complete the course early.

Please keep at it and ask for help as needed. Your GSIs should be able to help as well with MATLAB.
