About Us

The Berkeley mathematics DRP program was started in the fall of 2014 by Alex Youcis, a math Ph.D. student at Berkeley. Alex was motivated to start the program based on his undergraduate experience in the University of Maryland DRP.

For the first three years of its existence, the Berkeley DRP was organized by 5 Berkeley graduate students: Alex Youcis, Jeff Hicks, Chris Miller, Alexander Bertoloni Meli, and Nick Ramsey. In fall 2017, the program was turned over to Kat Christianson and Joe Stahl, then second-years in the Berkeley math Ph.D. program. For more information about the DRP organizers, see this page.

An overview of the Berkeley DRP and its goal can be found here. We welcome anyone who is interested to contact us or get more involved in the program.
