Prerequisites: Math 128A/B or equivalent knowledge of basic numerical analysis, MATLAB programming experience.

Syllabus: Theory and practical methods for numerical solution of differential equations. Finite volume methods for hyperbolic conservation laws, finite element methods for elliptic equations, discontinuous Galerkin methods for first and second order systems of conservation laws.
