Fence Photos

Wayne copied the design of the old fence, which involves boards inserted in a channel. It also interchanges boards standing flat with short boards standing perpendicular to them. These features give texture to the fence and minimizes the use of nails. Another nice thing about this design is that it looks the same on both sides.

The variation in color between the front fence and the gate is due to sun exposure. The side fence looks much darker because it was made by re-using boards from the original fence.

Simulation of Front Yard at Full Growth

Our landscape architect is Wayne's sister, Carol. She created this perspective drawing of what our yard might look like in the future. Pretty cool, huh? The tree at the center is a Big Berry Manzanita. The giant yucca on the right is a pasted-in photo of the actual yucca in our yard. We decided to trim it down to keep it in proportion with the rest of the yard.
