About the Section

THIS IS A PDP SECTION. There is only one. Here are the differences between this and a normal section.

• Attendance is mandatory (normal section: optional).
• Section is an extra long 2 hrs/section, 2 section/wk (normal section: 1 hr/section, 3 section/wk)
• You are the only students I have (normally a GSI has 60) so I pay you extra attention.
• You are becoming part of the PDP community, which contains peers, mentors, and resources.

If you do not want a MANDATORY EXTRA LONG section, please switch out of this section at once by contacting Barbara Peavy (peavy@math.berkeley.edu).

We also have some logistical difference because we meet on Tuesday/Thursday (normal section: MWF)

• There will be a quiz given each Thursday, except 1/19, 2/23, 3/22. It covers the material on the homework which was due that week.
• Homework from the Tuesday lecture is due the following Tuesday, and homework from the Thursday lecture is due the following Thursday (yes, same day as the quiz on that material).
