The Math Department is located on the Eastern side of campus,
within close proximity to the highly visible Campanile Bell Tower
(Sather Tower). It
exists within the walls of Evans Hall,
a tall, grey building with green
and orange trim, pictured below. Follow the directions listed on the
link below to get
to Oxford Street on the western border of campus. From Oxford, head
north to Hearst Avenue and proceed to make a right. You will be heading
east on Hearst, up a hill. Follow Hearst 1/2 mile to the first light,
which is at Euclid.
To park, make a left on Euclid and park 1 block up (to avoid meters)
or on any of the side streets you pass, such as Ridge or Le Conte or
Virginia. Parking is free all day on Saturdays. Arrive early, as Oct 30 there is a football
game and parking may be limited.
To reach Evans Hall, enter campus at Euclid
(aka North Gate). Go
east (uphill) past a few buildings then make a right, and as you pass
Bechtel, you will see Evans ahead of you. The ground floor should
be unlocked. (But the first floor will be locked.)
(Warning: if you are used to entering campus near Cory Hall at Le Roy
Ave, this access is now closed.)
