I am now a senior lecturer the school of Computer Science and Math at Netanya Academic College and a research fellow at the Institute of Evolution at Haifa University. Before that I was a postdoc with Lior Pachter at the Math dept. and with Satish Rao at the Computer Science dept., UC Berkeley.


I have finished my Ph.D. at the CS department in the Technion in August 2004; My advisor was Prof. Benny Chor from Tel Aviv Univ. My master advisor was Prof. Shlomo Moran from the Technion. Before my Ph.D. I worked at IBM Haifa Labs for three years.

Research Interests

My main research areas are statistical and combinatorial problems arise in biology; in particular phylogenetics and comparative genomics.
