Second Midterm Exam

The Second Midterm Exam will be Thursday, October 13, during normal lecture time. Here you will soon be able to find previous midterms that you could use for preparation. Also look at the material below (worksheets, quizzes, homework, course material).

There will be a review session on Friday night, 5-8pm, in Stephens Hall.

Here are some questions you can prepare with that the TA's collected together. PS, PDF. Thanks for writing these, you all!

The Final

The final will be held December 20 in Wheeler Auditorium. It will cover the material of the entire semester, so do not forget to study the material for the first two midterms! Lots of study and practice material for that part of the material is already available (don't forget to study proofs), so the following practice questions will mostly cover the last part of the semester. Once again, this does not mean that the final will be all about the last part, so don't forget to review the first part also.

There will be a review session Monday, December 17, 9am-1pm, in Stephens Hall.

Worksheets

Quizzes

If I happen to write a quiz or solutions to a quiz electronically, I will put them here.

Homework

Homework solutions will be available at Copy Central on Bancroft, usually the Wednesday or Thursday after it was due.

Course Material

Sometimes I write something you may find useful. In case I do that electronically, I'll also put it on this page, so check regularly. If you find any mistakes, please let me know. There are some lists of things you need to know. This is not all you need to know and contains no detail at all, but is meant as a rough checklist of the basic stuff.

Last semester, I wrote a couple of handouts for Math 1B. You may find parts of them useful.

Announcements

Thursday, October 4, there will be no office hours because of grading the midterm.

Friday, September 28, we'll have a quiz on everything from continuity till whatever has been covered by then.
