Research
I study the numerical analysis of PDE most often arising in fluid dynamics and elasticity. Currently I am studying time-periodic solutions to car tires in contact with the road, torn elastic sheets, and solitons arising from the non-linear Schroedinger equation and (modified) Korteweg de-Vries equations.
Teaching
During Fall 2009 I was a GSI for Math 228A, Numerical Solutions of Differential Equations.
During Spring 2009 I was a GSI for Math 128A, Numerical Analysis.
During Fall 2007 I was a GSI for Math 54, Linear Algebra and Differential Equations.
During summer 2007 I taught Math 53, multivariable calculus.
