I am a GSI for Prof. Tataru's math 54 class. The course webpage has lots of important information including your homework assignments so be sure to check it often. Information specific to my sections will be posted here.

Your section grade is determined by your performance on quizzes and homework assignments. The homework assigned each week is due in section on the Monday of the following week. (Disregard conflicting information on the course webpage.) Likewise, a quiz will be given each Monday in section on the material covered in the previous week.
Homework will count for roughly 20% of your grade for the week. When I compute your section grade, I will disregard your two lowest week grades. Homework will be graded for completeness rather than correctness, however it is to your advantage to do the homework thoroughly. No late homework is acceptable and no make up quizzes will be administered.

As part of your preparation for the midterm, I recommend looking at the Prof. Tataru's sample midterm and Prof. Ribet's first midterm in the exam archive. It's a good idea to do one of these as a mock-midterm, preferably before our review session on Tuesday.
