Research

I'm a sixth-year Ph.D. candidate at UC Berkeley, and my advisor is Vaughan Jones. My research interests include conformal field theory, vertex operator algebras, subfactors and planar algebras. My dissertation project involves constructing geometric conformal field theories (in the sense of Segal), and using them to relate conformal nets and vertex operator algebras. For an outline of the free fermion, see notes from a short talk at ECOAS 2013. For more detail, see my research statement.
