Text: Goldstein, Lay, & Schneider; Calculus and its Applications, Ninth edition

Prerequisites: Math 16A, or its equivalent.
General Information:   This course is a continuation of Math 16A. We will cover chapters 7-12 of the text. There will be two midterms and a final exam. Homework will be assigned on a daily basis and collected on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The course will move rapidly by necessity, and I strongly encourage you to solve the homework problems the day they are assigned. Late homework will not be accepted. Quizzes will be given on Thursdays during weeks in which there is no exam.
Grading Policy:   Homework 10%, quizzes 10%, midterms 20% each, final 40%

Important Dates

• 6/27/03: Last day to drop with a (partial) refund
  
• 7/9/03: Midterm 1 (chapters 7 & 8)
  
• 7/29/03: Midterm 2 (chapters 9 & 10)
  
• 8/1/03: Last day to drop or change grading option
  
• 8/14/03: Final exam (chapters 7-12). The final will be held in 7 Evans from 8-10AM.
