Handouts and Links

Ari Nieh, who ran the Math/Stat Discipline Cluster Workshop at the Gaduate Division Teaching conference, has posted some notes. They include some very helpful tips for the first day.

Here are some scans of a few pages of tips for first time GSIs (I'll try to get these up in a cleaner format soon):
Summary of the lower division math courses
Flowchart of prerequisites for those courses.
A checklist for the first few days: Page 1 Page 2.
Some Dos and Don'ts for GSIs.

I just found this the other day - A Guide to being a TA from the MAA.

Some further references on Student Development, Math/Science -Specific Educational Considerations, and Problem-Solving in Mathematics Courses. (Thanks to Mark for these!)
