Announcements
Tuesday, 8 May 2012:
- Here is a review sheet to help you study.
- Tomorrow, I will have office hours 11am-1pm, in my office.
Wednesday, 2 May 2012: Today, in addition to the optional sections at the usual times and places, I'll have an office hour from 1 to 2pm in 1057 Evans.
Sunday, 29 April 2012: Tomorrow (Monday) I'll have office hours from 11am-1pm in my office, 1057 Evans. On Wednesday, there will be optional section at the normal time and place. I plan to discuss 10.4-10.5 then, since we haven't had a chance yet. Remember: the homework for 10.3 is due by 5pm tomorrow (to my office or my mailbox on the 9th floor of Evans), and the homework for 10.4-10.5 is due by 5pm on Wednesday.
Tuesday, 24 April 2012: Here's a description of how to approach heat flow and vibrating string problems.
Sunday, 22 April 2012: This week's office hours will all be on Monday (tomorrow, 23 April) - from 5 to 7pm. There will be no office hour this Wednesday (the 25th).
Sunday, 18 March 2012: Tomorrow I will have office hours from 2 to 3 pm and from 5 to 6 pm in my office, 1057 Evans. I will not hold office hours on Wednesday (the 21st).
Tuesday, 13 March 2012: There were errors in the solutions to the last two questions on Worksheet 13 (about the matrix for a linear transformation relative to bases other than the standard basis). Specifically, I was treating [T]_B as if it were the matrix for T relative to B and the standard basis, rather than the matrix for T relative to B and B. You can find corrected solutions in the "Worksheets" section, below, listed under 7 March (the day we did another worksheet on the same topic.)
Thursday, 1 March 2012: I will be gone on Monday, 5 March, so my office hour that day is canceled. You will still have section (with Linda, again). To replace Monday's office hour, I'm having one today, 11am-noon.
Wednesday, 22 February 2012: There is no quiz on Friday. However, there is a midterm exam tomorrow! (12:40-2 in 3108 Etcheverry.)
Friday, 17 February 2012: Students in my sections will be taking next week's midterm in 3108 Etcheverry, NOT in 155 Dwinelle. The date and time of the exam is the same as for everyone else: 12:30 - 2pm on Thursday, February 23.
Friday, 27 January 2012: I will be out of town for most of next week. One of the other GSIs will be running section on Monday and Wednesday. I'll be back on Friday.
Monday, 23 January 2012: My regular office hours will be Mondays, 5-6pm and Wednesdays, 1-2pm. You can also make an appointment to meet with me outside of these.
Monday, 16 January 2012: This week, my office hours will be on Thursday (the 19th), from 3 to 5pm. Office hours will always be held in my office, 1057 Evans, unless I announce otherwise.
