Homework:
Your performance on the homework will count for 5% of your overall grade. You'll turn in your homework in class on Wednesdays. The homework due on any given Wednesday is the homework assigned by Professor Grunbaum for the lectures on the previous Wednesday, Friday and Monday. For instance, on 9/18, you turn in the problems from 9/11, 9/13, and 9/16. You can find what homework is assigned here. Your homework grade is determined by the number of problems you make a serious attempt at solving. So if you try all the homework, you ace this part of the class.
Quiz:
The quiz will count for 15% of your overall grade. There will be a quiz each Wednesday during section, unless there is a midterm that week. The quiz will consist of one or two problems taken directly from the previous week's homework. So if you try all the homework, you should ace this part of the class too. I'll be dropping your three lowest quiz scores when I calculate your grade.
