After months of toil, the list's compilers attained the golden number of 144. This number is significant for many reasons:
- It's a perfect square.
- The sum of its digits is a perfect square.
- It's a Fibonacci number.
- It's the sum of two powers of two (10010000 in binary).
- It's 12100 in ternary, which is also not bad.
- It has its own word in English: a gross.
- It's part of a Pythagorean triple (25+144=169).
- And most importantly, it's the number of things currently known to rhyme with the word "wolverine"!
