Section Policies
Homeworks are due at the *beginning* of section every Wednesday. If you can't make it to section on a Wednesday, you may also submit your homework to me in my mailbox *before* the section begins. My mailbox is in the mailroom on the 9th floor of Evans Hall, near the fountain in the center courtyard.
There will be quizzes every Friday, starting the second week.
It is the professor's policy not to accept late homework or allow students to make up missed quizzes. However, your three lowest quiz scores and three lowest homework grades will be dropped.
Your Grade
Your raw grade is the maximum of the following two grading schemes:
- 20% each midterm, 40% final, 20% section grade (quizzes and homework)
- 80% final, 20% section grade
Your actual grade is the maximum of your raw grade and your curved grade (effectively, this means your grade might be curved up but will never be curved down.).
