Abstract. In this talk, I will explain some of the main ideas involved in my proof of Dwork's conjecture by restricting to the simpler but essential ordinary case. The presentation will be intuitive and self-contained. In the first half of the talk, I shall explain how to reduce the higher rank case to the rank one case. In the second half of the talk, I shall explain how to handle the rank one case.
