Homework:

Each week I will assign a new homework set and collect your solutions to the previous one. Please note that late homework will not be accepted. Discussion in groups is encouraged, but solutions must be written up individually.

Grading:

Your grade will be determined as follows: 25% Homework, 20% First Midterm, 20% Second Midterm, 35% Final Exam. At the end of the course, the two lowest homework grades will be dropped.

C Kosniowski. A First Course in Algebraic Topology. Cambridge University Press 1980.

Syllabus:

The course will follow the textbook closely with the aim of covering most of it. Input from the class will be taken into account in the choice of examples and applications.
