- Practice Final is here
- Final Review: 81 Evans Hall, Tuesday May 16, 5 - 7 pm Check back
on Friday for the practice final. Until then, try problems from the main

- Quiz News: There will be a quiz on Wednesday, April 6th. It will
cover material from the homeworks on Ch 9.1 & 9.2
- Practice Midterm is here. It's a .pdf file; see the instructions below. See also the practice
midterms on the course web page. We will be discussing solutions during
the review session on Monday evening.
- Review Session: Monday, March 20th, 5-7pm in Evans 81
- Extended Office Hours for Midterm: Monday, from 12 - 4:30pm. Also regular office hours on Tuesday, right before the exam.
- Quiz #5 had a serious typographical error in Problem 2. The
polynomial n^2 + 3n + 4 should have been n^2 + 4n + 3. Since the problem
is essentially unsolvable, I'm going to change the grading scheme on the
problem: Problem 1 is now worth 13 points (7 pts for part a, 6 pts for
part b), and Problem 2 is essentially bonus: 2 points if you made a
reasonable attempt at finding the answer (e.g. wrote down partial sums, or
showed the series converged), 1 point for wisely writing nothing at all,
and 0 points if you wrote careless nonsense.
- The review session for the first midterm is going to be
held in Evans 31.
- We will have a midterm review on Friday, Feb 10
from 5-7pm in Room TBA.
- Change in Office Hours! Wednesday office
hours have been moved to Monday.
- To switch sections, you need to go
to the Head TA's office. See the course web site for more
details.
- Your grade in this section is 20% of your final grade.
That's 15% quiz performance, and 5% HW and participation.
- We'll have
a quiz every Wednesday (except during midterm weeks), at the end of class,
8:40am. Quiz covers material from the previous week's lectures. In
particular HW due Monday is fair game.
- HW assigned on Tuesday is due
Friday; HW assigned Thursday is due Monday. HW isn't carefully graded; I
just check to make sure you did it. This means that if you aren't sure
you did a problem correctly, you should ask me about it!
- Get a copy
of the Math 1BW: Calculus Worksheets at Copy Central. You'll need them
for section.
- The Course Web Site has lots
of useful information.

CAUTION! This is an anonymous feedback form! I will not know who
you are. This is convenient if you want to tell me things like "you
suck!" But it is utterly useless if you want to ask me questions like
"when is the midterm review?". For that sort of thing, you should email
me!
