Whitney's extension problem and its variants
The talk will answer the following questions: Let f : E −-> R, with E a subset of Rn. How can one tell whether f extends to a Cm function F on all of Rn? If F exists, how small can we make its Cm norm? Can F be made to depend linearly on f?
