Dear Graduate: Let me extend my warmest congratulations to you as you near successful completion of your degree in Mathematics. I hope very much that you, your family, and friends will be able to attend our Departmental Commencement Ceremonies at 2:00pm on Friday, May 23rd, 2008, in Zellerbach Auditorium. This is indeed a time for celebration of your accomplishments and an opportunity for family and friends to visit the department and campus. I am pleased to announce that our Commencement speaker will be Charles Ferguson, a 1978 BA graduate of our Department and the director, writer, and producer of the award-winning film, No End in Sight. We have included information and links on the ceremony & parking, graduation regalia, Undergraduate Exit Survey Form and diplomas (Diploma Request Form). Our undergraduate advisors, Thomas Brown, Jennifer Sixt and Henrietta Williams are available for any questions from 9-12 and 1-4, Monday-Friday. I encourage you to stay in touch with our Department and to keep us informed of your activities, and in particular of your future address. The annual Department Newsletter is our means to tell you about news and events within the department, such as commencements and special lecture series. We will gladly mail the newsletter to you, provided that you tell us where to send it. For more frequent updates on department events, you can review our postings on the UCB Mathematics homepage http://math.berkeley.edu.
