Berkeley Courses for Non-Berkeley Students
Students at local high schools and colleges, UC employees, and others, can take UC Berkeley courses through UC Berkeley Extension's Concurrent Enrollment program. This program allows you, for a fee, to participate fully in the Berkeley class, have homework and exams graded, and receive an official course grade.

One requirement for admission to a course as a Concurrent Enrollment student is that your taking the course not keep a regular Berkeley student out. Thus, if a course has a high enrollment, it may not be possible to accommodate you, or you may have to choose one of the less-full sections, or wait till it is known whether there will be room. If you are told that the instructor hopes to be able to sign your form when the enrollment level becomes clear, and you decide to wait for this, you should in the meanwhile do the course work, turn in homeworks, etc., so as not to be behind if you are admitted.

Summer Session is open to Berkeley students and others without distinction, so there is no Concurrent Enrollment during the Summer.

Note: High school and younger students with a strong interest in mathematics might be interested in participating in the Berkeley Mathematical Circle.
