Mac OS X 10.5

The following printers are available for your use:

The following screenshots will guide you through adding the printer in 958 Evans to a computer running Mac OS X 10.5. To add a different printer, change '958' to the appropriate printer queue and select the appropriate printer driver from the list above.

Begin by installing the necessary PostScript Printer Description (PPD) file if linked above.

Go to System Preferences -> Print & Fax. Click the "+" icon to add a printer.

If your system uses cups (as most distributions do these days) you can very easily add all the Math department printers by adding the following lines to your cupsd.conf file, usually located at /etc/cups/cupsd.conf. You can edit this file using a command such as "sudo gedit /etc/cups/cupsd.conf".

Browsing On

BrowseProtocols cups

BrowseAllow printserver.math.berkeley.edu

BrowsePoll printserver.math.berkeley.edu

Then restart cups using the command "sudo service cups restart" and you should be good to go
