We are very excited to announce that Dr. Christian Gaetz will be joining the Department of Mathematics as our newest faculty member this Fall.
Dr. Gaetz works in Combinatorics and received his PhD in 2021 from MIT under the supervision of Alexander Postnikov. After receiving his PhD, he held postdoc positions at Harvard and then Cornell. Dr. Gaetz's work has been recognized with various honors including both graduate and postdoc NSF fellowships, the Klarman fellowship at Cornell, the FPSAC Conference best student paper award, and a mentorship award during his time as a graduate student at MIT.
Dr. Gaetz will be a terrific addition to our program and we look forward to his arrival in the coming months. Please join us in welcoming him to the department.
